There’s a distinct joy when you receive a handwritten letter, especially if it comes in the mail. It’s a gift of time and thought, and an important generational archive. Letters also have long been used as a literary device, epistolary narratives, to reveal character, setting, and/or circumstance. We’ll discuss some of these books, and then sit down to write a letter (or two) that can become a treasured gift or be used in your creative projects.
All supplies provided, or bring your favorites!
Let’s change the narrative around winter. With its visual juxtaposition of darker days and bright white snow, it’s a highly creative, introspective time of year to journey inward. Our minds are given permssion to slow down and get clear on what we want and how we’ll bring it to light. Through writing prompts and book discussions, we’ll explore how these concepts can play out in your art and your life.
Each participant will recieve a free copy of the book Wintering by Katherine May!
Join us for this festive night as Art Plus NH owner and expert card-maker guides us in creating up to three artful greeting cards from a selection of designs. Then, we’ll find the just-right words for your well-wishes.
Light refreshments and all supplies provided!
